Neptunes Angels

The 2006 spring launch of Paris Kyne Master Milliner was shown at the Coral Atoll, Melbourne Aquarium. Six models wore 1890’s reproduction swimwear made exclusively for this event by The Library of Costume and Design. The entire range was inspired by the sea and its’ inhabitants’ and showed submerged splendour through six colour themed sections including jelly fish, shells, coral, the Yarra-Yarra river and the sea itself. The creation of this range utilised ideas that have been “floating around” in the filing cabinet for years.

And the press wrote – “Sticking his neck out for Melbourne Spring Fashion week is Master Milliner Paris Kyne and his turtle hat crafted from fur felt. Paris unveils his Neptune’s Angels collection today at the Melbourne Aquarium and predicts the spring trend will be the sea and its creatures. You know, frock up to the track as a mermaid, return a shipwreck.”
